The Otis and Rosie Brown Foundation, long time partners of the Arlington Public Library, recognize that a lifelong love of reading can be encouraged in our community through dedicated support and high literacy standards. The Otis and Rosie Brown Foundation is excited to sponsor Rosie’s Reading Nook to create a welcoming space for children to enjoy reading.
The furniture for Rosie’s Reading Nook arrived in February of 2024 and has greatly improved the experiences of library patrons over the past six months. Our young patrons love to build and play in the house, curl up to read in the cozy reading nook and browse the easy access board book bin. We are excited to invite everyone to the Southeast Branch Library (900 SE Green Oaks Blvd, Arlington, TX 76018) for a special Family Storytime with Mrs. Rosie. Join us on Friday, September 13, from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. in the Children’s Area for Rosie’s Reading Nook Storytime. Afterward, enjoy playtime and a themed craft in the Community Room.
