Libraries in Arlington are usually lively places, full of people working on their own projects, learning new things, and spending time together. Your librarians have been working to move your favorite parts of the library experience online! Free early literacy activities, art tutorials, digital books and more are available now. Find easy and engaging ways to keep your mind active and relaxed with these options from the library.

Digital Storytimes for Young Children and Families

Storytime is one of our favorite things here at the Library. While everyone is safe at home, we're making sure your family can still receive early literacy services by offering storytime digitally. Storytimes helps children foster a lifelong love of books, reading and learning--and can offer comfort and bonding in strange and uncertain times.

Our digital storytimes offer the same literacy tips and activities as our traditional storytimes, so enjoy them as a family! They're also great to play for your children while making lunch or taking care of something around the house. Parents are their childrens' first and most important teachers and the Arlington Public Library is always here to support you as your children grow.

Arts and Crafts for All Ages

Do you have extra spare time these days? Do you need a creative outlet? It's the perfect time for arts and crafts, for all ages. Express yourself, learn a practical skill, or find a new hobby with our tutorials and activities, all designed by our staff experts.

Learn sewing skills, explore art with materials from around the house, and more. Staff from our makerspace and our children’s team are busy designing tutorials to keep you busy and creative at home. Click here to explore arts and crafts
