The Arlington Public Library is excited to feature two community outreach events this week at the East Arlington Branch Library. Join area news stations Telemundo and Univision to celebrate the community with stories, prizes, free information and more.

Telemundo will be at the East Arlington Branch on Tuesday, May 7 for Spanish Reading Day! Join news anchors Nancy Leal and Martha Minjarez from 4 to 5 p.m. as they read stories. Enjoy giveaways and children’s activities, plus learn about Library programs and events from Spanish speakers on staff.

Then, join Univision for a Free Resource Fair on Wednesday, May 8. Univision will be on site from 4 to 6 p.m. with free resources for legal advice, education, health and employment. Learn about community groups that are helping families succeed and thrive in Arlington.

“We’re excited to partner with Telemundo and Univision to highlight Spanish language resources and opportunities throughout our community,” says Library Administrator Ivonne Kieffer.

The Library offers early literacy storytimes, books in Spanish, and free adult education classes including English as a Second Language and Citizenship. Come to the East Arlington Branch on Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon to learn more about these events and other resources throughout the community.
