Are you looking for a creative way to decorate your home or to display your favorite image in a different way? You can transfer your favorite family picture on to wood.  All you will need is Mod Podge and a few other supplies!  

Materials

  • Any unfinished wood surface  

  • A laserjet printer: your image should be printed using a laser printer for best results, an inkjet printer will work too but your image may not be as clear 

  • Mod Podge  

  • A brush  

  • A rag or towel  

  • Regular printing paper 

Instructions  

  • Choose an image and print it on regular paper using a laserjet printer, if you are using words or letters make sure to mirror the image so that it does not transfer backward

  • Cut out the image 

  • Brush on a thick layer of Mod Podge onto the image  

  • Place the picture facing down onto the wood, and press down to get out any air bubbles  

  • Wait 24 hours until the Mod Podge is completely dry 

  • Use a damp towel and press it onto the paper and let it sit there for about 5 minutes

  • Using the towel slowly start peeling off the paper, at this point you should see the image peeking through! 

  • Finally, once you have finished peeling off all of the paper, wait about 5 minutes and add a layer of Mod Podge using your brush to seal the image in place.
